Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C.

How can the energy sector enhance the capability to manage its own greenhouse gas emissions? What kind of assistance can the Bureau of Energy provide?

The Bureau of Energy (BOE) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has been providing the training courses on greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventory, verification and voluntary reduction to the energy sector, in order for them to establish the capability in conducting GHG emission inventory and reduction, follow the trends in international GHG mitigation, and implement processes, tools and methodologies for GHG reduction projects.
These courses have been very effective in building the professional capacities of the energy sector and professionals in managing GHG emissions, and nurturing the seed trainers and key technologies for energy management. Every year, the BOE also provides GHG management related consulting assistance and emission verification subsidies, so that the industries can continue to establish and operate their GHG management systems.
